Matt Brady, Newsarama
Dec. 19:

The Spirit is yet to open (and already getting decidedly mixed reviews), but director Frank Miller is already looking at his next film project inspired by comics: Buck Rogers. Miller has been rumored to be circling the project for months.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Miller and Odd Lot Entertainment are close to a deal that will see them re-team to bring a new version of Buck Rogers to film screens. Miller would both write and direct his take on the classic comic strip hero, and has, reportedly, already begun sketching out ideas. As THR, "it's expected to be a darker take, with many of Miller's signature visual elements and themes, such as corruption and redemption."

The new project may be Miller's next comic-to-movie project, which would shelve a possible Sin City sequel for a number of years.

Looks like Brady likes sensational speculation: "would shelve a possible Sin City sequel for a number of years."
Are you provoked now??? ... heh heh

Frank Miller's Buck Rogers will likely look similar to Lance Blastoff, with the classic Buck Rogers rocketpack, etc.

Frank Miller's Lance Blastoff is a hilarious spoof of Buck Rogers from Tales to Offend #1 (1997).

Lance Blastoff was based on a cover Miller did for a Buck Rogers paper and pencil role playing book so he must have been a Buck Rogers fan for a long time.

Miller doing a sci fi film with a jet pack hero, can't get much better than that.

Glad to read this. Thanks, StewiePickleEgg!

Most glad to read elsewhere here that FM is focused on Holy Terror, too, Stewie!
